1. Information We Collect

iFlyAI collects the following information:

  • Profile information you provide (name, email, flight hours, certificate type, aircraft)
  • Study goal and certification selections
  • Chat messages sent to the AI tutor
  • Logbook entries you create
  • Voice audio captured during Live ATC Sessions (processed locally by iOS Speech Recognition — not transmitted to our servers)
  • App usage data (quiz scores, study activity, features used)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Personalize your AI tutor experience
  • Adapt content difficulty and recommendations to your level
  • Sync your profile and logbook across sessions
  • Improve the app and AI response quality

3. Data Storage & Transmission

  • Profile and logbook data is stored on your device and synced to our secure backend (Cloudflare Workers) to preserve your information across sessions and devices.
  • Chat messages are transmitted through our Cloudflare Worker proxy to Anthropic’s Claude AI to generate responses. They are not permanently stored on our servers.
  • Voice audio from ATC Voice Sessions is processed entirely on-device by Apple’s Speech Recognition framework. Audio is never transmitted to our servers.
  • All data transmitted between your device and our backend is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Third-Party Services

  • Anthropic Claude AI — generates AI educational responses (anthropic.com/privacy)
  • Cloudflare — hosts our backend API and AI proxy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
  • RevenueCat — manages subscriptions (revenuecat.com/privacy)
  • Google Sign-In — optional account authentication (policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Apple — payment processing, app distribution, and on-device speech recognition (apple.com/privacy)

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your information with advertisers. Your data is shared only with the services listed above as necessary to operate the app, or as required by law.

6. Voice & Microphone

When you use the Live ATC Voice Sessions feature, iFlyAI accesses your microphone to capture your voice. Voice audio is transcribed on-device using Apple’s Speech Recognition. We do not receive, store, or transmit your audio recordings.

7. Children’s Privacy

iFlyAI is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app: Profile → Delete Account. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device. For backend data deletion requests, email: [email protected]
